(OoC: Don't worry, reading's not a challenge. It's in a different language mostly to clue you in to the first area.) *The first set in normal characters comes out as pure gibberish, but the Voya Nui script fares much better.* "Behold a trial, first of four. Fail, and rest forevermore. Three halls ahead, testing not just skill, but your virtues, and force of will." *The other words seem to be some kind of prose before followed by some sort of list. The length of the story seems to have messed up the translation. In hindsight, they match with the letters in the entrance. Seems whoever built this place had some degree of forethought at least. Seems they realised the entrance might get weathered.* "This temple of starlight is built to cloud a great power doorway journey a millennia ago, before any of crowd were here. We uncovered it, but moonlight bother error translation failed. To pass these trials ahead, you must prove yourselves. Might alone is not enough. Your power has been sealed, and limited by the will of the divine lights protecting this place to that which preserves the sanctity of these trials. You will be unable to walk the easy path or move as the not us fly. To achieve your desires, you must prove either your skill or prove your cunning. Overcome these challenges, or circumvent them in ways not clear to common traveller. Only then can you be proved worthy of what lies below." *Well that's dramatic.* *Not being intimidated easily, I don't flinch at the translation's gloomy mood.* *Presses on into the first trial, ready for anything.* (OoC: Apologies for how late this is. I was kind of hoping someone else would respond...) *The first trial awaits you. A blank corridor that, when you step into it, suddenly morphs into a challenge in a shimmering motion. A series of axes, spears and zamor sphere launchers pop out the walls and ceiling, swinging, poking and blasting in unison, precisely attuned to your normal patterns of evasion, somehow.*

IC: "Not bad. Clear that this thing is set up against me. But they forgot to account for THIS!" *Activates Time Stopper and effortlessly heads over to the end of the trial, deactivating at the goal and dragging everyone else with me.* "What next?" *Heads for Trial 2.* :-P

Same rules here, except instead of climbing it's whatever ability would have that same effect.)

(OoC: After some thought, I've decided on something I probably should have done from the start. Starting from the next challenge, I'll say what'll trigger things to go wrong. Sorry for being so vague.)

(OoC: oh thank goodness I didn't accidentally kill this... :-P )
*Uunfortunately, the second trial is still a part of the first, the second of the three halls. This one appears to be already active, yet damaged... or it does, until it sinks into the walls and floor just as the first emerged, before emerging fresh as the party steps onto it.
A mannequin of a Matoran stands, holding a giant key. At the end of the hall stands a door, with an equally giant keyhole. Across the hall is a number of weapons, ranging from Cordak blasters to more Zamor Sphere Launchers. Additionally several lines of Rahi Mannequins stand. First stands a pair of Nui-Jaga, then a pair of Kane-Ra ramming the wall flanked by a single Hyrduka, equipped with a Zamor Sphere launcher in place of the typical airblaster, and finally a Muaka. All of them are moving in repetitive, robotic patterns that mimic their living counterparts. Several structures resembling Nui-Rama nests also line the area, and two inactive Energy Hounds stand, most likely to prevent retreat after the trial has begun. Evidently they are controlled by whatever mechanism is operating this challenge, which seems to be telepathic, so they will probably respond to actions... although how effectively remains to be seen. As you approach the Matoran Mannequin, it begins marching dutifully forward at a constant rate, and the weapons begin activating and the closest ones track it's progress*
The challenge is, somewhat self-evidently, to get the Matoran to the end in one piece. Subsequently, restricted powers are anything that would skip portions of the Matoran's journey or completely nullify incoming damage - partial nullification (for example, 50%, or only against projectiles) is fine though. You can hurry the Matoran's progress by carrying or pushing/pulling them, but doing so will extend the restrictions to you, with the shield defence being applicable to all forms of defense, and things that were originally targeting the Matoran Targeting you. Beware.
Also, not technically a restriction, but the Rahi Mannequins are just that, Mannequins animated by the system. They'll be immune to poisons or other attacks against organic material, although they're more single-minded than actual Rahi would be.
