I had no idea this existed until now?? I'm always really late on these adventures anyway, though =P
I'll just bookmark this and hope everyone else did too and got reminded about here =P OoC: IT (maybe) LIVES AGAIN! Again, it's not that I'm uninterested about this myself, it's just I have something rattling around that necessitates I don't take any actions right now. I hope everyone understands. To slightly spoil it since playing mysterious didn't work the first time, I'm going to play dungeon master when we actually reach the temple, and since I'd probably wind up making all the challenges really fit my character's abilities. So, he's not playing a traditional role to compensate. I do promise that he'll show up though. ;-)

(OoC: Oop, this place is in dire danger of petering out again, so for better or worse, let's get this rolling. People can take the Warp pipe if they discover it in time . Assume a quick time-skip for packing and all that, since that's the slow part, where it's honestly most likely to tail off.) *The journey begins, and progresses, relatively uneventfully, surprisingly enough. The bus dives deep into forest roads, then tracks, then faint trails, then deviates from the path entirely, following the guide on the notes. After a while, the sky begins to darken as it passes beneath a great swirl of clouds, parting in the centre. The centre reveals itself to be a great pillar of light that blossoms from a star visible even in daylight into a dome of tangible, divine power. Within, is the Temple, somewhat hazy through the field. Honestly, it's a miracle nobody stumbled across it before. Or, perhaps they did? As the bus nears the ancient construct, something becomes visible. Perched somewhat hazardously atop the apparently-solid dome is a small, technologically advanced, yet clearly offline construction, attached to a small part of the temple that protrudes from the light. Unlike the parts within the dome - or what can be seen at least - this part is aged and scarred by time. From ruins of steps, some of which have been crudely re-assembled by sticking them into the dome where they stayed aloft by some will of the gods, this part seems to be the entrance. A few parts around the dome display old craters from explosions or distortion from reality-bending magicks. But none have penetrated the field, which, judging by some of the impressive destruction, pierces the earth to surround the whole temple. So, not a dome... more a shield. The bus reaches the edge of a particularly large crater, and slows to a halt. You have arrived. A small car, apparently tailing the bus, stops behind it, throws another note tied to a rock through the back window, then drives off before they can be held accountable.* "I'm afraid your... delays have proven fruitful for our enemies. Several of the groups have already reached this place, though it is likely the artifacts are still safe, for now. This place is treacherous, and will not give up its secrets so easily. But, one of the organisations, the largest and most powerful, has become aware of the struggle, and sent their one of their best, not merely to steal the power for their masters, but to prevent any others from getting it first. They are already here, waiting for enemies to approach so they might send a message. Be ready, they could strike at any time."

I'm afraid this whole things the top-down kind of deal.) *The entrance is in a similar state on the inside. Writings in different languages are carved throughout the walls, although time has faded them to be nearly illegible. In fact, it's hard to even tell which languages they are. The architecture, too is vauge. Almost... intentionally so, as if whoever built this place was trying not to mimic any individual style or era. Power thrums within the floor, as small chips and wear in the stone reveal that this part of the structure is somehow built into the barrier itself. Ahead are steps leading down into the temple - the veil of the barrier broken in this one spot.*

I'll try to be fair of course, but I'm trying to produce a game-like experience. So there have to be a few rules. I'm not just gonna veto all silliness though, far from it. If anything, this is mostly to prevent the most straightforward answers to problems being always used. Examples would be things like summoning a teleporter to skip to end of a platforming segment, or the Robobot armor in Stone mode to easily smash through a door blocking your path. That kind of thing. I hope you understand. Tell you what, I'll work hijinks into it if I can. :-P )
