I doubt they do. There are several differences.
1. Escargoon. Bandanna Waddle Dee is the King's assistant in the games.
2. Sword and Blade don't work for Meta Knight in the games, and are enemies, save the exception of Meta Knightmare Ultra, which is non-canon.
3. Meta Knight's behavior is far clearer in the anime, and he's not as mysterious. (We know that he and Kirby are the same sort of group in the show, while it's only speculated in the games.)
4. King Dedede is actually intelligent in the games, and has some courage. (Example, when he came up with a working plan to block Nightmare's attack, and when Kirby let him out, Dedede recovered from the shock faster than Kirby did to take action. Other example. He was brave enough to go to Sectonia's location and save Kirby, rather than fleeing the area.)
5. Lololo, Lalala, Chef Kowasaki, most notably Whispy Woods, and some other allies in the anime are clear enemies against Kirby in the games.
6. Nightmare worked on his own in the games, and still gave Kirby a good fight.
7. Kirby doesn't need Tiff to summon the Warp Star. He can do it on his own in the games.
8. Battleship Halberd had more than enough crew in the games, and didn't need Cappytown residents to fly it. Heavy Lobster ATTACKED Battleship Halberd in the anime, while it's a guardian of the ship in the games.
There are probably more, but those are some that really stand out to me. :-P
