What's everyone's favorite Mario game?
Mine would have to be Bowser's Inside Story, mostly because of the story element and the unique characters, missions, and areas to explore. There's also tons of nostalgia involved, as it was one of my first Mario games and the game my friends and I used to vent about. (No one could beat the carrot-eating challenge. I did eventually =P) In fact, I finally beat the final boss of the game today after trying and failing countless times as a ten year-old and then not playing for a few years. :-P
Second would have to be Super Mario 64 DS. While nostalgia does play a part in this, it's simply a great game with a variety of characters and abilites, cool new world to explore and a lot of challenges on the side. This game is very open and free, with very few mandatory stars and worlds- most of the time, players can choose what they want to do!
Third would be Mario Galaxy- This game built on the foundations of Mario 64 and created something even better! (Nostaglia's what keeps 64 higher on my list.) There's a wide variety of worlds, unique challenges, and even a compelling story!

Sadly, I don't have a Wii U (which may not be sad :-P ) and I do have the Switch, so I hope Oddysey is as good as Breath of the Wild! :-D
