Well, a new Smasher is revealed. I imagine everybody knows the identity by this point: Byleth, the main protagonist of Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
Fire Emblem isn't a series I play, so I wouldn't say I'm bursting with excitement, but it could have been worse. It's ultimately Sakurai's choice who gets in, and I will respect that. (I'll admit the moveset looks good, as well, so who knows. Doubt it'll be a main for me, however. I'll stick with my Sonic, Hero, Luigi, and Kirby characters. :-P )
Enough about me, however. What do you all think of this new addition to the roster? Is the Emblem professor a good choice, or not?

I too do not play FE. :-P I really wanted Waluigi, but I also didn't care that much. Maybe next wave. :-P

I haven’t played Three houses, but Byleth looks pretty cool! :-D Though whether there should have been this much hype for them is debatable.... Though, Cuphead mii! With Cagney’s theme! :-D

Hey, WaffleBoy, AKA Shadow Queen.
Seeing as it's clear you're the Paper Mario expert around here, and have been for a long time, I wanted to ask your opinion for fun.
Sooner or later we'll almost certainly get Paper Mario on the Switch, so I wanted to ask, what would you like?
Would you like Intelligent to stick with the Sticker Star and Color Splash system, or go back to the old days of the original Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door? Maybe a mix of the two systems? Should partners return? Should the final boss be Bowser again? And finally, do you think they ought to bring back some of the old faces like some of the partners from the first to games and have them actually appear in cameos or maybe larger roles?
I was just curious. I know you really like the series, so I thought I'd ask. :-P

Anyone want to start a conversation? Sure, what’s your wishlist for E3? Are we already thinking about E3? :-P Hard to think, since most game series are already on Switch! :-D It would be nice to see Dragon Quest Heroes to get a western switch port. Speaking of DQ, shouldn’t they have Amiibo’s for the fighters pass? I don’t think we have a new Mario game announced for 2020. People seem to think we might get odyssey 2, but since I didn’t entirely enjoy the 1st one, i hope we don’t. What about you?

It only just now occurred to me how inactive I've been, I should start posting more =/
I think a mix of the two would probably be best, but I guess it depends on what systems, specifically, are being referred to? Partners should definitely return, I liked the partner-based puzzles, and just their different dialogue and reactions to certain situations. Also cooking. The first three games all had cooking, and I thought it was exceptionally fun, but it wasn't in Sticker Star or Color Splash, so I would very much like to see it brought back.
Bowser is a great final boss, but I personally prefer when there are other final bosses / main villains, but with Bowser still being a boss somewhere along the way, like in Thousand-Year Door and Super Paper Mario. (if I remember correctly, I thought that that Mario would somehow be the final boss of Sticker Star, since Bowser, Peach, and Luigi had been the final bosses of the previous games =P )
I personally would like for the original partners to make some sort of appearance, though other characters would certainly also be good. The partners and / or other characters having larger roles would probably be great, though it may take away from the main story and characters created for the game. (unless, say, the main villain is the Shadow Queen or Dimentio, and the partners and / or other relevant characters return to help Mario face them)
Thank you for asking =D

I agree on the mix. I feel that the partners were one of the best elements of the first game, (Never played TTYD, so...) and the combat felt smoother. I did feel robbed one time fighting Bowser in SS, I made it to the last phase and was about to win, but ran out of stickers, even though I went in fully stocked. However, there were elements of SS I enjoyed. Snifit or Whiffit will always be a highlight. :-P I forgot about the cooking system. Perhaps now that the Switch can handle more data, they can really make a deep cooking system with all sorts of combos beyond even that of the first three games.
I agree again on the final boss. Maybe keeping him as a penultimate boss (Like in TTYD, where they made it look like it would be Grodus as the penultimate boss, only for Bowser to enter. I think. That's what happened, right?) would be the best move. (I can see that. Perhaps some day, we'll have a fight against Mario and have to save the day as Luigi or something like that. :-P )
I would like to see partners as well, and maybe a few others, like Kolorado or Kammy Koopa. I suspect you would like Doopliss to return? :-P
No problem! This is fun. :-P

No problem! This is fun. I can confirm that they were just as good in TTYD, in my opinion at least =P Oh dear =O I believe each game had at least one quiz, but Snifit or Whiffit was by far the most memorable of them all =P That sounds like it could potentially be kind of chaotic, but also very interesting. There should probably be a list of recipes you've made, though, like in Super Paper Mario.
(Yes, that was what happened) (Perhaps some day =P Mario was technically a boss in Donkey Kong Jr., but I'm not sure if that counts =P )
Kolorado or Kammy Koopa would be great returning characters, and, yes, I would also like for Doopliss to return =P
I'm glad you're enjoying it =P

Perhaps you could get some kind of prize if you make all the recipes, like a badge or something. (A fight against Mario would certainly be an interesting concept, though I suppose it was technically done with Doopliss already. It could always be done again, though.) :-P
