{Another over-detailed analysis of a final boss. Spoilers for Mario & Luigi: Bowsers Inside Story and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team} It occurs to me that you spent the entirety of Bowser's Inside Story teaching Bowser how to be a competent villain. Leveling him up. Defeating Fawful's treachery. But then in Dream Team, Bowser does everything right, is incredibly strong, and overthrows Antasma. So when he becomes a god, technically, we caused this.
It felt, to me, like a culmination of all the other final battles of the Mario & Luigi series. The intensity and evil of Superstar Saga's. The raw emotion, the hopelessness of Partners in Time's. And the sheer grandiose atmosphere and overpowering strength of Bowser's Inside Story's. All culminated here, in Dreamy Bowser. Simply incredible. This was Bowser's finest hour, and the brothers' greatest battle.
Also, even after he becomes a god, instead of summoning something far more powerful, Bowser creates allies in the form of his army. His dream here was to believe in the soldiers who had never won once. Yet he still counts on them to help him win...

I enjoyed the moment as one of the few RPGs where Bowser was a competent villain. (I feel the original Paper Mario did this somewhat as well, because while Bowser was goofy, he did still take the castle and crush Mario in combat at the beginning. He seemed to be treated like a legitimate threat in the first game.)

My most wanted mode? A multiplayer free for all. I don’t always like playing in teams because I don’t know if it's my fault that I lost or one of my teammates. But if it was just me, then I could see what my true skills are! Maybe it could be like turf war, but with four different teams of one fighting each other! 1v1 and Battle Royal would interesting too, where the winner is the one with the most splats instead of turf covered.
Do you have Smash Ultimate? Please no battle royal! :-P I doubt nintendo would want splatting to be the goal, too violent. Do I HaVE sMaSh UlTiMaTe? :-P Of course! I even have the fighters pass! :-D Though I am terrible at it.

He's come a long way in the Mario & Luigi series, though. In Superstar Saga, he was a comic relief villain that become an instrument for the main antagonist. In Partners in Time, he was a minor villain that became an instrument for the main antagonist. In Bowser's Inside Story, he was a cool anti-hero. In Dream Team, he was the main antagonist.
In Paper Mario he had both a high power level, due to the Star Rod, and a high plan efficiency, which helped him to get the Star Rod. There was also a delicate balance to Bowser's goofiness and threatening-ness that resulted in a perfectly balanced character.

Joker releases tomorrow, alongside that ugly stage. Whoop. Anyway, I'm going to go find some Sonic Mii Costumes and do Stage Builder, perhaps. If I can't get the real Miles Prower in Smash, at least now his Mii Costume is back. And Knuckles. :-P
