Yes, I'm doing this. No, I'm not going to whine for them, just stating my opinion. I'm fine if they don't get in. (There's always next game, and maybe a trophy of them could happen, or something.)
1. Bandanna Waddle Dee:
You all saw this coming.
The Kirby series really does deserve more representation. Now that Metroid has received its due, (It did deserve more also.) it's high time the pink puff got some more love. Instead of a millionth Fire Emblem character, why not add this guy? He's cuter, and a spear and umbrella would make for interesting fighting. (Don't even play the Princess Peach card on me, umbrella people. All she does is float with it.)2. Magolor:
He's #2 most frequently requested character in Japan, so this is justified. (#1 is Bandanna Waddle Dee. Forget Geno and Issac, Japan wants more Kirby.
)His many unique abilities would make him quite the fighter, what with lasers, orbs, portals, charges, etc. Final Smash could bring in Landia or the Lor. Not to mention, I'd like a Cookie Country stage.
3. Takamaru:
Yeah! Japanese exclusive retro card, right here! ... Fine. It's just my opinion, but the retro Nintendo world needs more stuff. (Get that Inkling out of my sight! JK.)
4. Spring Man:
I like ARMS. I think ARMS should be in the game, rather than another 3rd party. Not to mention, he would work just fine, and be an interesting hybrid of shooting and melee. It would be quite the sight. (Prediction: Even if he's not playable, Spring Man trophy is a must. An ARMS stage would be fun, also. That might be a bit much, of course.)
5. Lip:
Alright, I already know what you're probably thinking. Who's that!? (Well, Botan would be, at least.
) Well, I'll explain for Botan and anyone else who might not know. You know that flower item called Lip's Stick, that when you hit people, they get lovely flowers? Guess who that belongs to. (Her theme song is also in the game. Should be easy to find. Finally, Kirby's pink smile block in Smash is based off of one of her moves.) In all seriousness, Lip hails from a series called Panel De Pon, a Japan only franchise that was localized into the Yoshi game Tetris Attack. She was a flower fairy in the puzzle game. (Give us another puzzle game besides Dr. Mario, which is also great. It's a good genre.) The franchise, despite the last release being on the Gamecube, has somehow remained alive, thanks to a strong fanbase. (One that doesn't whine like Mother 3's does, I might add.) With flower abilities and puzzle origins, it could actually work. Those are my top 5 most deserving characters! (See, I didn't do anything totally impossible.
) They are all Nintendo properties, have strong fanbases, and could be very unique fighters. You even got some retro history! Feel free to discuss if you agree or not! P.S. All negative remarks made were in joking fashion, except maybe that bit about Mother 3. I'm in a good mood.
- I know a fan made smash game where he is playable. Strangely, his neutral is the beam whip. I can see him getting in to SSBU with a much better moveset.
- I think it would be funny if they don’t mention his role at the end of adventure wii, but only hint to it.
- Yay! another guy with a sword! But he won't be playable, he is still an assit trophy.
- I think he is from the only recent notable Nintendo character that hasn’t been represented.
- Thinking about it, there is a small chance she might appear, knowing the list of past “Surprise characters”.
2. They do have fun doing stuff like that. That would be entertaining.
3. Well, there's always the next Smash! :-P
4. You're right. I can't think of anyone either.
5. They do send out a lot of retro surprises. If we have Lucas and Duck Hunt, we can get this. :-P
